For the ultimate in traditional luxury cruising you can’t do much better than the ships of Cunard. The Queen Elizabeth, carrying a little over 2,000 guests, has some interesting cruises scheduled for departure from Barcelona. In 2022 and 2023 Cunard will be offering cruises that range from 7 to 36 nights with nine different itineraries.

Life Aboard Queen Elizabeth

The Queen Elizabeth was launched in 2010 and is nearly identical in design – but not decor – to Cunard’s Queen Victoria. Accommodations include two different levels of suites and four varieties of staterooms, ranging from 152 square feet to 2,249 square feet. (The smallest sizes are for the “Single staterooms” designed for one guest.)

Dining is included with your fare, with separate restaurants for the different accommodation types. In addition to the restaurants there are a couple of pubs and the Lido buffet. Don’t miss traditional “Afternoon Tea” served from 3:30 to 4:30.

Cultural and sports activities are organized daily. Stay fit and relaxed with swimming pools, whirlpools, fitness equipment, tennis and shuffleboard. Guest speakers are invited aboard many cruises to provide insight into their expertise. Live music and theater performances daily.
